Junior Choir Excursion
Donovan Village
The Wattle Grove Junior Choir went on excursion to Donovan Village on Monday November 14, 2016. We performed seven songs to the residents before sharing a beautiful morning tea. The residents remarked how beautifully we sung. Excellent work Junior Choir!

End of Term 3
End of Term 3 Wrap Up
Year 1-2
Students have been learning to compose songs using rhythm and melody. We wrote the rhythms before allocating a note to each rhythm on the xylophone. Well done!
Year 3-6
Students have been continuing to learning the ukulele this term. Students worked on writing lyrics in pairs and performed these to the class. We have now started to learning some new strumming patterns and songs in class. Well done

Music Assembly
Music Assembly
Wattle Grove Primary will be running a Music Assembly in Term 4. This will take place during Week 4 on Friday, 4 November at 2.00pm. Students from the Senior and Junior Choir along with the guitar groups will also be performing. This will be a great way to showcase the talent in this amazing school. All students are also learning a community song called 'Together we can Change the World'.Look forward to seeing you there!

Working Hard in Music
Working Hard in Music
The Senior Choir has been working hard learning their music for the Mass Choir Festival this term. On Monday, August 8 we rehearsed for the first time with 500 other students. Well done on a sensational rehearsal!
We will be performing on Tuesday, August 30 at Winthrop Hall. We would love to see as many parents as possible there on the night. Please remember to purchase your ticket online, before they sell out!

We are learning to play in parts with the song 'Little Brown Owl' using the boom whackers and the xylophones. This is quite tricky and we are doing a great job keeping in time to the beat, singing a melody and playing a melody all at the same time! Very talented!!

This song we are learning is called 'Funga Alafia' which is a West African song meaning: 'With my eyes I greet you. With my words I greet you. With my heart I greet you. There's nothing up my sleeve'.

Naidoc Week
